are you ready for the bus?
"You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." -- James 2:24
I had an argument with a friend today. We always disagree, it's what friends do. Over the years he had become more spiritual than he used to be. He started to speak about manifesting, Law of Attraction and spotting angel numbers. He wasn't alone, many people started to become "woke" within, including me. The disagreement came because I felt like he was missing out on opportunities because of it. He's definitely not alone when it comes to this either, you may be in the same boat.
Speak things into existence
There is nothing greater than the power of prayer. I've had God answer several of my prayers, and I'm grateful to continue to experience that. Some people see manifesting and prayer as two different activities though. The basic principle is to keep your thoughts and feelings in the emotion of having the thing you want. When your emotions are in that place called happiness, you affirm and act as if you already have it with your words. Compound this activity daily and you'll manifest what you desire.
We can definitely speak our dreams into existence. But, I can't help but also believe that phrase has made some people "spiritually" lazy. I'm sure you're no stranger to the famous phrase: actions speak louder than words. So why not show God you are ready for the thing you want by making small movements towards it? Yes, not every action has to be a grand gesture to show Him you're worthy of what you want in your life.
You want to build a successful business? Make some time for self-education. Want a brand new car? Save small parts of your check dedicated to that. Even if you feel it's a laughable amount, it's the action that counts. So while you speak things into existence, take small actions at the same time to help ignite those words.
Action = investing
I don't need to tell you the power of investing, Google Warren Buffet. Look at the people who invested in Google when they were in a garage somewhere in Silicon Valley. The logic on investing is simple, you place your money into a pot, and over time that pot grows larger. The "pot" you choose is up to you. So how do you spiritually invest? Taking action.
In the Bible, Jesus tells the story of a master who had 3 servants. The master was going away on a trip so he trusted the 3 servants with his property. Before he left he gave each of the servants' talents according to their ability. He gave the first servant 5 talents, the second one 2 talents, and the third servant 1 talent. The first servant doubled his talents, and so did the second one. The third servant who only got 1 talent buried his talent in the ground.
When the master returned he blessed the servants who doubled their talents with more. The Servant who did nothing but bury his in the ground, got his talent taken away and given to the first servant. He got cursed out too, ha! So what is the moral of this story?
The desires that you seek, manifests itself out of the action over what you already have. The master gave the servants who doubled their talents, even more, to work with. They didn't only sit around speaking things into existence, they did a little more, and got a lot more as a result. That's spiritually investing.
"Opportunities are like buses; there’s always another one coming." - Richard Branson
We can't feel good our way to success, we have to feel good while taking action. You know how many opportunities I missed out on by not showing God, I can create small with what I have now? I love this quote by Richard Branson because it shows it's never too late to catch another bus. I don't subscribe to the ideology that you only have one moment and you can't miss it. That's a "lack" way of thinking. Opportunities are endless, the limits are only created in our mind. My only question is, are you ready for the next bus?
